Maxine Spark
ABA Therapist
I am passionate in helping children develop the skills necessary to reach their full potential in life. I have over a decade of experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis Therapy (ABA).
Working closely with families, children, schools and specialists, I analyse a child’s specific needs, design and implement a high-quality intensive program that best meets those needs. I teach methods of assisting the child in developing a specific skill.
Behaviour planning, fine and gross motor skills, language and communication, play skills, self-help, social skills and daily common activities are often addressed in the plan.
Over the years, I have worked with a number of children to decrease behaviour problems, creating richer social interactions to be successful in the classroom, and in day-to-day life.
My area of expertise is early intervention and school readiness, as well as transition to both primary and secondary school.
I have assisted within class support as well as withdrawing for one-to-one sessions at school as well as home-based programs.
I provide regular communication and ongoing training to staff and parents.
We work together as a team to assist the child in reaching their full potential.
I have assisted children on the Autism Spectrum both verbal and non- verbal, Asperger’s, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Dyspraxia, Developmental Disorder, School Refusal, and Anxiety.
